Monster Party

This Monster Party designed and photographed by Lemonberry Moon used our Monster labels. I just love the bright colors and fun feel this set has!

Laurie Clarke Cakes did an AMAZING job on the cake, cupcakes and cake pops. Katie's Creative Baking wowed us again with her incredible cookie designs to match our party labels.

Our monster faces were printed on sticker paper and added to the favor bags and balloons. Cupcake toppers were attached to lollipops and made a great party favor. They were also attached to straws and placed in these fun cups with eyeballs!

Design.Create.Make created the adorable birthday outfit, what a great keepsake! Happy Birthday Cutie Pie!

Love this Monster theme? You can purchase the labels here.

Birthday Invitation Etiquette

There are always lots of questions surrounding how to handle birthday invitations, I hope to answer a few of them here!

1.  How many kids should I invite to my child's party?

One more than your child's age in years is the general rule, however, it also depends on where you are having the party and budget. If your child is turning 7, invite 8 children. It's a good starting point, but not a hard set rule.

2.  Should I invite the entire class?

Many people invite the entire class in Preschool and Kindergarten. This is entirely up to you, your desired sanity level and your budget. You can also try inviting just all the boys or all the girls.

3. Can I send the invitations to school with my child?

Unless you are inviting the entire class this would be a No. Even if your school allows it, it's just not fair to the other students, you never know who's feelings you may hurt.

4.  When should I send my invitations?

Two-four weeks is a good general rule

5.  What should I do when people don't RSVP?

This happens ALL the time and I have to say I'm even guilty myself on a few occasions. Sometimes people just get busy and forget. Send a reminder email or text letting people know you need the final guest count and if they can make it.

Putting an RSVP date on your invitation can also help. EX: RSVP by May 21st

6. What information should I put on the invitation?

Child's name and age, date of the party, location of the party (be sure to include the full address so guests can GPS it!) time of the party (start and expected end time), RSVP information and any special requests such as "bring your swimsuit and towel" "pizza will be served" or "siblings welcome."

7.  When should I have parents drop off their children rather than stay with them?

This usually starts happening around first grade, but it depends on many things such as location and parents/children's comfort levels.

8.  Where should I get my invitations?

Oh I don't know....... Forever Your Prints has some pretty awesome ones :)

9.  Where should I have my invitations printed?

Some Assembly Required; Buffet Table Labels

Is it Monday again already?! Sneaks up on me every time....

Today's Some Assembly Required post will be talking about our buffet table labels. These versatile labels can be used in many ways, but lets focus on the most common, labeling food and treats.

Buffet labels are available in many themes and most are available as an instant download, such as the pool party theme

Once you have purchased your blank labels you'll want to add the appropriate text. You can use any photo editing software to add text, www.picmonkey.com is a great free site you can use. Don't have time to do it yourself? Lemonberry Moon offers services to add text, print and cut for you here.

Once you've added text you'll want to print your labels. You can learn more about where to print your labels in this post; Where To Print Your Party Labels. No matter where I print them, I am always sure to print on heavy (110 lb.) cardstock.

Once cut, there are many ways you can display your finished labels.

On a lollipop stick.

Attached with tape or a glue dot directly on the item.

Or even simply laying flat in front of the item.

Do you have a creative way to use our buffet labels? We want to see! Please comment and share below.

A Carnival Party

I LOVE the carnival theme. A carnival works for so many different types of celebrations and all ages, plus, who doesn't love cotton candy and popcorn?!

This amazing carnival party was designed by Sweet Life in Dubai using some labels from our carnival theme. I love how they used the cupcake toppers on the cups, so creative!

Utensils wrapped in tickets are SO cute and adding a lollipop? I'm so there. Those are full size popcorn and cotton candy stands. If you are wondering where I am, just look over there.

Check out that cake! And another creative use of our cupcake toppers on the fans attached to the tablecloth, brilliant!

Be sure to visit Sweet Life on Facebook and tell them what a great job they did on this carnival party!

Some Assembly Required; Birthday Banner

Happy Monday and welcome to part nine of the Some Assembly Required series! Today we are going to look at how to assemble your party banner.

You'll start with your printed party banner. You can print this from your home computer or at your local office supply store. Check out how the two options compare in last week's post; Where To Print Party Labels.

You'll then want to cut out each piece of your banner using a paper cutter or pair of scissors. Use a hole punch to put two holes in the top of each banner piece. Take care in making sure you are punching the holes in the TOP two corners. I have (on more than one occasion) ended up punching holes in the sides of a letter or two.....

Decide how you want your banner to look. Do you want each word on it's own row? Do you want one long string of words?

Choose your string. Bakers twine, yarn and ribbon are all good string choices. Pick a color that coordinates with your banner.

When putting your banner on the string I like to make the string go across the back of each piece as opposed to crossing the front. (see above picture on the right)

Hang your banner and admire your handiwork!
